SPCA  of  Southern  Oregon

Save a life.       Adopt A Rescue Dog.       Tell A Friend.

Welcome to the online home of the SPCA of Josephine County, Oregon.

*Please note that ALL of our dogs are in foster homes.  Because of this we ask that you contact us online to set up an appointment if you are interested in meeting one of our dogs or puppies.* Dogs are shown by appointment only.

The SPCA of Josephine Co., Oregon is a 501 (C)(3) Non-Profit Organization located in Southern Oregon. We adopt to people all over the West Coast, including Canada.

When You adopt from the SPCA, you are getting a companion that has been rescued from a kill facility. We are one of a handful of rescues that network nationally to save dogs and puppies that are about to be euthanized.

We take in small dogs that are under 30 lbs., many pregnant dogs and puppies, as well as senior dogs, and those with medical issues.  Imagine being no longer wanted because you're too old, can't hear or see as well as you once did, or simply are no longer convenient. Unfortunately, this is the case for many of these dogs.  We rescue them and provide them with lots of T.L.C., and excellent medical attention.

All adoption monies go to the medical costs for these dogs. All other expenses come out of the pockets of the SPCA and foster homes.  All of our dogs are spayed/neutered when age appropriate.  We micro-chip them, give them Frontline, They are bathed and groomed, get a physical exam, full blood panel on dogs 5+ yrs. The dogs all get DHLPP +B and are current on vaccinations.
They are de-wormed and heartworm negative.  If there are issues with teeth or gums we get them cleaned, and pulled if necessary.  If there are other medical issues, we discuss with our Vet and make a decision about what we can do best for the dog.   We pick up the cost ALWAYS.  We never ever make any medical decisions due to lack of money.  We demand the best for each dog.

We welcome donations. Your kindness and generosity makes this possible.
Some items we are in need of:
Bleach, dish soap, bedding, towels, dog food, treats, small collars and leashes, food and water dishes, crates (for dogs around 20 lbs.) For the moms with new babies, and dog food.  We feed our dogs Diamond.
